So today is the day before the day when I go to the army again. Yes, again! Here in Belarus we have such thing as reserve. It’s when you came to the army for month-two per year withing two-three years. So they just show you some specialty and you learn and marching. Marching and learn. Marching and cleaning all around but yourself. Yeah, in our army you could take a shower only once per week. Damn. It’s terrible. Also reserve soldiers have one more trouble. They have only one uniform set. Everyone else in army have two-three sets, but we only damn one!

Also our army have big-big trouble. It’s people, who work there. They stealing so damn much, you couldn’t imagine. That’s the reason why soldiers are wearing very old equipment. Except special forces, I think. They give you rifle, which is older than you and not working properly, chemical protections are not perform it’s goals. But you wear it, because somebody in top of hierarchy steal, and somebody lower him steal, and somebody lower steal… and the one who controls you steal. Everyone steal. Actually I do not know why it’s happening. Maybe because people on the top of hierarchy want more. Not because they greedy, but because of human nature. When your salary grows, your needs grows too.

So it’s just remnants of the Soviet regime. But if there is something useful in army now? Someone say yes, someone say no. I think there is. Things like self-discipline, relations between little groups of people, people management.

But it’s only useful when you need it. Yes. If you need for example discipline ins your life, it’ll be good to you. Or if you want to associate your life with army. Or at least if you too stupid to do something useful.

So what people do in army? They just wasting their time. Do things, that will never help in life, endure humiliation from people, who was there longer than you(even if they are younger) and do really idiotic shit.

But army could unite people. And there are much cases, when people still friends after many years past.

One more bad thing is uniform. It’s uncomfortable. Very uncomfortable. And you have only two sets. And it must be clean, but you don’t have time for it and don’t have washing powder. But it must be clean. And if you don’t make it clean, you’ll have some penalties. And trust me, you don’t like it.

Also there is kind of outfit, you get after washing. They wash underwear once per week. And you take shower one per week. So you always dirty. And when you get washed underwear it could be still dirty. Or size will be smaller than you need. Much smaller. And nobody cares of it.

Actually almost all the time nobody cares about soldiers. Sometimes they are good guys, sometimes not. They are people like everyone else. But the people who control them. Almost everyone have much shit inside.

And the main thing. What do we learn at army? We learn how to make barracks and roads clean. How many times do we shoot? If you will be lucky, you shoot two or even three times for the whole year. That means if somebody try to attack our country they meet clean roads and barracks :)
